Mexican Economic Outlook Improving

The general economic outlook for Mexico appears to be improving, on the back of data showing an uptick in Q3 growth. August’s monthly activity indicator hit 2.6% (y-o-y), while manufacturing expanded by 3.3% (y-o-y) in September, the same upbeat rate of increase as in August, and forward- looking PMIs seem positive. Having said that, the outlook has been weakened by two quarters of sub-par growth and slow external demand.
